Ruby Alberta Dean 63, of Des Moines, Iowa passed away February 21, 2019.

Ruby was born to John and Annie Bell Dean in Batesville, Mississippi. She graduated from South Panola High School in 1974.

She leaves to her legacy six children and her husband of 43 years, Dale Leon White.

Her surviving family members include: her husband Dale Leon White of Des Moines, Iowa; children: Hamish (Jessica) White of Des Moines, Iowa;Camille (Shaun) Kuhn of Des Moines, Iowa; Nicole White of Des Moines, Iowa; Feliciano White of Des Moines, Iowa; Tariq (Aneisha White) of Des Moines, Iowa. Sisters: Georgia Greene of  Batesville, Mississippi, Stella Dean of Augusta, Georgia. Brother: James(Bunny) Dean of Batesville, Mississippi. She also leaves to her legacy 13 grandkids: Amia, Zariah, Bishop, Jatavia, Ozrael, Knox, Collin, Raidakai, Shaundraya, Tyson, Alijah, Brionna, and Lazarus.

She is preceded in death by her son Andre White, her parents, and several of her beloved siblings, cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

Ruby was a professional cook at places such as Bethphage, Iowa Child Guidance Center and for years at Little Sprouts Daycare in Des Moines, Iowa before retiring.

Ruby was a lovng wife, mother,  and grandmother. She will truly be missed.

A celebration of life is scheduled for May 31st 2019 at the Ding Darling Shelter at 2100 Saylor Rd. in Des Moines, Iowa from 5p-8p.
