LAGRANGE — Ruby F. Fry, 95, of LaGrange, died Friday, May 27, 2016, at the Chandler Place in Kendallville. She was born on Dec. 26, 1920, in Kalona, Iowa, to Ora B. and Mattie (Troyer) Miller. Mrs. Fry was a homemaker. She was also co-owner, with her husband, of the Pioneer Country Estates in Howe and Fry's Garage. She lived most of her life in LaGrange County. She was a member of the First Church of God in LaGrange, where she was active for many years as a Sunday school teacher, church pianist and a member of the WCG. On Nov. 15, 1947, she married Joe Fry in LaGrange. He preceded her in death on July 19, 2001. Surviving are two daughters Diane (John) Fought of Prescott Valley, Arizona, and Karen Fry of LaGrange; four sons, Mike (Cheryl) Fry of Howe, Jim (Patricia) Fry, Keith (Ethel) Fry and Kim Fry, all of LaGrange; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Olinghouse and Phyllis (Glendon) Eaton, both of LaGrange; and a brother, Merritt K. (Eve) Miller of Virginia Beach, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, L. Francis Miller, Gerald L. Miller and Ralph V. Miller. Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at 10 a.m. at the First Church of God, 777 N. Detroit St., LaGrange, with Pastor Ben Stuckey officiating. Burial will follow in Shore Cemetery, Shipshewana. Calling will be Tuesday from 3-8 p.m. at the church. Memorials are to the First Church of God Missions Outreach.
