Ruby Gordon Hayes Clements was born on December 21, 1933. She left this world and went home to be with the Lord on March 10, 2017. Ruby graduated from University High School, Athens, GA in 1950. Ruby married the love of her life, Ronald Mac Clements (Col. USAF Ret.), on September 14, 1952. Ron proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1956 until retirement in 1979. Ruby was the ultimate military wife and devoted spouse. She spent her life supporting her husband in his military career and, after retirement, whatever endeavors he took on. She managed to successfully raise 4 children while Ron was working for and protecting our country during his Air Force career. Together they traveled the world until Ron's death on May 5, 2012.Ruby was the daughter of Joseph Erskin Hayes and Ethel Hayes. She was the youngest of 9 children.Ruby is survived by her brother, Pete Hayes of Athens GA, and her sister, Hazel Carter of Commerce, GA. Ruby is also survived by her four children, Karen Ann Norrell and husband, Eddie, of Alamogordo, NM, son, Mike Clements and wife, Sandy, of Trophy Club, TX, daughter, Kathi Clements Dodson of Watkinsville, GA, son, Greg Clements and wife, Mary Lee, of Watkinsville, GA.Ruby's grandchildren are Cambri Johnson, Cory Norrell and wife, Maria, Jennifer Clements, Kelly Moss and husband, Chad, Michael Clements and wife, Shelly, Will Clements, Thomas Clements. Her great-grandchildren are Jeremiah Johnson, Jarod Johnson, Brady Moss, Emmy Moss, Coryn Norrell, Ryland Clements, and Lucy Moss.Visitation will be at Bernstein Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Bernstein Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the .Online condolences may be offered at www.bernsteinfuneralhome.com.Bernstein Funeral Home and Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.
