Sep 10, 1953 - Feb 02, 2024

This obituary is administered by:

Rudolph (Greek) McClain, the son of Mary Alice Singleton-McClain, and McKinzie McClain was born in Darlington, South Carolina on September 10, 1953. He calmly answered the Master’s call from labor to reward on Friday, February 2, 2024at Wake Medical Center, Raleigh, North Carolina.

Mr. Rudolph McClain joined New Providence Baptist Church when he relocated to North Carolina. He enrolled in religion classes at Shaw University to enhance his knowledge about God. Rudolph’s love for others was shown in many ways, mostly when the other person wasn’t aware of it. He wanted to enjoy life to the fullest, so he was willing to try new things.

Rudolph received his education in Philadelphia public schools. After relocating to North Carolina, he furthered his education at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. He was employed for SAS Institute in Cary, NC as a Distribution Clerk for 17 years. He retired in 2007.

Mr. Rudolph McClain leaves to cherish his legacy: his wife, Cynthia Gail McClain of their home; one son, Rudolph Hasani McClain, Cary, NC; one daughter, Ashley Nicole McClain, Apex, NC and three granddaughters, Ev’N Ariana Young, Aniya Simone McClain and Makayla Gamble. He also leaves to mourn three sisters; Queen Esther Berrian, and Beverly McClain, Philadelphia, PA, Elsie Davis, New Jersey, as well as five brothers: Larry McClain, Kenneth McClain (Tammy) and Marvin McClain, of Philadelphia, PA, Douglas McClain (Stacey), Charlotte, NC and Eric McClain, Kinston, NC. He leaves five sister-in-laws: Verita B. Woods (Melvin), Asheville, NC, and Abbie Diane Martin (Jesse), Columbia, MD, Phyllis M. Hall (Marvin) Deep Run, NC, Christina Fowler (Doug), Atlanta, GA, and a host of relatives and friends.

LEARN TO ENJOY LIFE MORE. Relax remembering that I am God with you. I crafted you with enormous capacity to know Me and enjoy My Presence. When My people wear sour faces and walk through their lives with resigned rigidity, I am displeased. When you walk through a day with childlike delight savoring every blessing, you proclaim your true in Me, your ever-present Shepherd. The more you focus on My Presence with you, the more fully you can enjoy life. Glorify Me through your pleasure in Me. Thus proclaim My Presence to the watching world.

You can to the family or in memory of Rudolph McClain.
