Rudolph Joseph Harris left this world on Saturday morning January 18,2020. He leaves behind His wife Veronica ,one son George ,three daughters Sandra, Shelia, Venus , 7 grandchildren; Chrystal,Raymond,Kathryn ,Alisha, Sharon , Elijah and Emmanuel, 2 brothers Charles and Michael as well as any close friends.
Rudolph was born June 15,1932 and raised in Hopkins ,IL,the son of Calvin and Jessie Harris. He was the eldest of 3 children. In his early years Rudolph would help chop and sell wood for his family business "Harris's Wood". He attended St.Anne highschooland. Later obtained a certificate for HVAC.
In 1953 he met the love of his life at St.Marys hospital where they both worked. The following they married and to this union had four children; George , Sandra, Shelia,and Venus . Two years later Rudolph and his family moved to the Southside of Chicago where he spent the rest of his life. He reinvented the family wood business and began selling wood to various restaraunts. He took pride in his business as well as taking care of his family .In his spare time ,he played the guitar,loved to complete puzzles and watching football. Rudolph's infectious smile will always be remembered and missed. Rudolph was preceded in death by his parents Calvin and Jessie Harris.
