Rudolph "Rudy" Ray ReynoldsAGE: 76 • Fort Pierce, Florida and formerly of MillvilleRudolph "Rudy" Ray Reynolds, 76, of Fort Pierce, Florida and formerly of Millville, passed away on May 30, 2017 in Florida. He was born on December 28, 1940 in Millville, NJ.Rudy spent his whole career in the glass industry which included 29 years with Wheaton Glass. He so enjoyed and admired all those he had the pleasure of working with. Prior to retirement, Rudy worked as a salesman for Carr Lowery Glass; was the owner of RuBon International, and Vice President of US Operations for Heinz Glass. After retirement in 2003, Rudy worked for World Travel Agency in Fort Pierce, Florida.Spending time with his family was his greatest pleasure, and he especially enjoyed his volunteer work with Golden Rescue South Florida and the dogs he had fostered; size did not matter, as many became his lap dogs. Rudy doted on his dogs, Dudley and Budley like they were his children. Rudy was always available to volunteer his help with any organization when requested, and is fondly remembered by many for his kind and gentle spirit.Rudy loved to travel and had visited 70 islands and countries. He loved to collect hats from the places he visited, and obviously had quite a collection. His favorite way to travel was by cruise ship; he had the pleasure of going on 66 cruises and was always planning for his next one. He was a member of Affordable Homes of Millville, Inc. in Millville, NJ; the Elks Lodge; and the Cosmetic Industries Buyers and Suppliers. He volunteered with the Cumberland County Habitat for Humanity; Help and Hope Ministries lunch program, and homeless Veterans Stand Down.Rudy also loved electronic gadgets and was always looking for the newest one that was available. Rudy made a friend of everyone he met. He also was a huge Mike Trout fan and the last bit of TV was spent with his family watching Mike play ball. Rudy was a dedicated family man who loved any activity when they were with him. He was adored by his family; the countless happy memories are a blessing but cannot fill the void left by his passing. He is survived by: wife, Bonnie Hopman Reynolds; sons, Rudolph Paul Reynolds (Suzanne), Christopher Kenneth Reynolds (Valerie); beloved pets, Dudley and Budley; In-laws, Stacy Carter, and Elizabeth Downey (Paul). He was pre-deceased by: parents, John Walter Reynolds and Beatrice (Maines) Reynolds; brothers, John Reynolds, and Kenneth Lewis Reynolds.A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday June 24, 2017 at 11:30 am, in the Rocap Shannon Memorial Funeral Home of Millville.
