Rulon Ames Rulon Edwin "Bud" Ames passed away April 27, 2017 at home in Puyallup, Washington, just shy of his 88th birthday. He was born on 16 May, 1929 in Pocatello, Idaho to Raleigh Leroy Ames and Ellen Shaw Greenwell, the fifth of six children. He was preceded in death by sisters Mary Stinger and Theon Albrecht, and brothers Raleigh Ames and Calvin Ames. Bud loved his family. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Miriam Chole Ames, and eight children, Rulene Walk, Brad Ames, Richard Ames, Benjamin Ames, Mary Moffett, Raleigh Ames, Jared Ames, and Jeremy Ames, as well as 40 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, sister Mona Chipman, and many nieces and nephews. Bud was a dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, giving service in many ways through the years as a Missionary, Bishop, Temple Worker, Teacher, and more. He spent most of his working years in his business, Ames Carpet Service. He was always ready with a song or a story. He will be remembered as a man who loved people and loved to entertain and perform for others. There will be a viewing on Friday, May 5, 2017, 59pm, Curnow Funeral Home, 1504 Main Street, Sumner, WA 98390. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 6, 2017, 2pm, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 13420 94th Ave E Puyallup, WA.
