Faber, Russell C.Russell C. Faber, 92, Marshfield, died on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Atrium Post Acute Care, Marshfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at St. John's Catholic Church, Marshfield, with Rev. Samuel Martin officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 54 of Marshfield, at the church following the service. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield, at a later date. The visitation will be from 9:00 am on Tuesday until service time at St. John's Catholic Church. Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family. Russell was born on September 21, 1924 in Kenosha to Edward and Angeline (Bender) Faber and attended Marshfield schools. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corps serving during World War II from April 19, 1943 until March 19, 1946. After his honorable discharge, he worked for a time at the Marshfield City Garage. He then became employed at Felker Brothers Corporation where he worked for over 30 years until his retirement in 1986. He married Lucille E. Eberhardy on July 9, 1949 at St. John's Catholic Church. She died on May 14, 2009. Russ was a member of the American Legion Post 54, an Honorary Life member of the Knights of Columbus John Eisen Council #1799 and the Boilermakers Union. He enjoyed woodworking, camping, fishing and watching the Green Bay Packers. He is survived by his sons, Steven (Carol) Faber of Waterloo, IA and Thomas (Joyce) Faber of Onalaska. He is also survived by grandchildren, Frank (Lisa) Shanor of Ham Lake, MN, Matthew Shanor of Brooklyn Park, MN, Kate (Brad) Lado of Redfield, MI, Paul (Julie) Bobrowski of Canton Township, MI, Kevin Bobrowski of Canton Township, MI, Sara (Mitchell) Gore of Olathe, KS, Jason Faber of Onalaska and Jennifer Faber of Burnsville, MN and great grandchildren, Brandon, Bryce, Matt, Larkin, Kara, Aeli and Asher, a son-in-law, David Bobrowski, siblings, Jean Claybaugh, Ruth Kubs, Grace Kubs, Bernice Welch, Robert Faber, and Betty Trudeau, all of Marshfield and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, stepfather, Nick Hilgers, stepfather, Karl Franz, his wife, Lucille, 5 brothers-in-law, 1 sister-in-law and 2 daughters, Patricia Shanor and Joyce Bobrowski.Condolences may be sent online to
