Gerhard, RussellRussell D. Gerhard, age 80, Appleton, formerly of New London passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2017. He was born on March 11, 1936, in Milwaukee son of the late Carl and LaVonne (Daily) Gerhard. He served his country in the US Navy. Russ owned and operated Steel King, New London from 1969-1985 and also owned and operated the Rainbow Supper Club, New London for 16 years 1984-1999. He also worked at the New London High School for 10 years and served on the New London Utility Commission for 10 years.He is survived by a son Dan (Lorna) Gerhard, Appleton; four step-grandchildren: Quincy, Leighle`, Denee`, and Julia; great-grandchildren: Hanna, Suzu, Avalon, Peyton, Aryanah, Zahne, Ari and Benjamin.His parents and a sister Sharon preceded him in death.As per Russ's wishes no service will be held.
