Ruth A. BlauseyHELENA: Ruth A. Blausey, 90, of Helena passed away peacefully Friday, September 8, 2017 at the Rutherford House, Fremont. She was born on June 21, 1927, to Harmon and Freida (Ninke) Buhro in Graytown, Ohio. In 1945, Ruth graduated from Salem Oak Harbor High School and was a member of the graduating class' 45'ers Club. On May 16, 1947 she married Donald Huff, and together they had five children: Patricia, Judith, Jerome, Teresa, and Randall. She later married Lyle Blausey Sr. on November 29, 1975 in Helena. Ruth worked at the Sandusky County ASCF/FSA for 30 years ending her career as the Executive Director, retiring in 1988. After retirement, she volunteered at Project Read as an adult tutor. Ruth was a member of the Gibsonburg Sorosis Club, Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church and Zion Women, where she held many offices. She also served on the Sandusky County Farm Bureau. Ruth will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed. Surviving are her children, Patricia Grover of Wauseon, Judith (Roger) Buck of Centerton, AR, Jerry (Peg) Huff of Bellevue, Teresa Kohler of Winston-Salem, NC, Randall (Kathleen) Huff of Fremont; step-children, Diane Bennett-Schoedinger and Lyle Jr. (Dawn) Blausey; 12 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Suzanne Buhro; and many nieces and nephews. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lyle; brother, Ralph Buhro; and son-in-law, Greg Grover. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 15, 2017 from 2-7 p.m. at the Herman-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg. Funeral Services will be on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Gibsonburg where there will be an additional hour of visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Rev. Blair Miller will officiate. Burial will follow at Metzgar Cemetery, Helena. Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.
