DERBY-McDermott, Ruth A. Ruth was born on July 13, 1930, in Drumright, OK. Ruth quietly breathed her last breaths on earth Tuesday, October 10, 2017, with her husband, Jack, and family members by her side. Ruth celebrated life for 87 years as a daughter, mother, wife and schoolteacher for 22 years. She retired from teaching with Wichita USD 259 and spent much time with Jack enjoying life adventures and various travels. Ruth also spent many proud moments with her 13 grandchildren observing them in active sports, musical recitals, fishing trips and school graduations. Her family continues with the addition of 18 great-grandchildren, all a loving blessing to Ruth. Visitation will begin 1 p.m. with funeral service following at 2 p.m. on Friday, October 13, 2017, at East Point Church of Christ.
