Ruth Ann GreenRuth Ann Green, 68, of Fowler, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2016. She was born on August 20, 1948 in Lafayette to the late Clara Katherine (McNeely) Hoskins and Donald Alvin Hoskins, who received a Purple Heart for his service in the U.S. Army in the European Theater. On April 4, 1969, she married James G. Green, shortly after his return from serving his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. Ruth Ann was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family, hosting family picnics, playing board games and cards, traveling, and going to amusement parks. Surviving are her husband, James Green of Lafayette; her children, Denise (Sandy) Bowles of Brownsburg, Jim (Kristi) Green of Lafayette, Jennifer (fiancée David Pitcher) Green of Brownsburg, and Clark (Cecilia) Suitors of Lafayette; her brother, Thomas Bailey (Roberta) Hoskins of Linden; and her sister, Marsha K. Henschel of Oshkosh, WI. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Brandon, Logan, Jordan, Darian, Alivia, Gillian, Alexa, Joey, Ashley, Jesse, Courtney, and Logan, and her great grandson, Avery. She was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Cobbs and her brother, Donald J. Hoskins. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 17 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Chapel with services at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Asbury Cemetery.
