Ruth Alvey, age 82 of Morganfield, KY died Sun. 10/25/2015 at Redbanks Nursing Home in Henderson, KY. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church where she was a church volunteer. She was a homemaker and retired from Wal-Mart after 25 years of service.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Alvey; parents, Henry and Lilly Collins; grandson, Matthew Michael Geisser; 1 sister; 4 brothers

Funeral service will be 10AM Thurs. 10/29/2015 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Morganfield, KY. Fr. Freddie Byrd will officiate. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery in Morganfield. Visitation will be 4-8PM Wed. with rosary beginning at 6PM and 8:30AM until service time on Thurs. at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield, KY. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Ann Catholic Church or John Paul II Catholic School.
