Ruth M. MascariFREMONT: Ruth M. Mascari, 92, of Fremont passed away at Bethesda Care Center, Fremont on Mon., Oct. 31, 2016. She was born on June 26, 1924 to Charles and Bessie (Truex) Havener in Port Clinton. Ruth married Joseph Mascari on June 5, 1943 in Gypsum, OH. She worked at Armour Eckrich & Co. for 23 years before retiring in 1986. Ruth was a devoted member of St. Ann Catholic Community and Daughters of Isabella. Ruth loved her family and those that visited her while at Bethesda. In her days at Eckrich, she was a hard worker that formed strong friendships with her co-workers. When at home, she enjoyed baking, especially Christmas cookies. She also enjoyed word searches. Ruth is survived by her daughters, Lynda Hammond of Fremont and Janet Bender of Fremont; grandchildren Randall Frederick, Dawn Frederick, Jolene (Rick) Johnson, Amy Frederick and Tony Bender; 13 great-grandchildren; 11 great, great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Russel, Garold, Bernard, Merryl, Alfred, Robert and Harold Havener; and sisters La Vern Schultz and Harriet Lieske. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Nov. 3, 4-8 p.m. at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont, where Funeral Services will be on Friday, Nov. 4, 10:30 a.m. There will be an additional hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Fremont.Memorials may be made to St. Ann's Catholic Community or ProMedica Memorial Hospice.
