Ruth P. Richie1924 - 2016Ruth P. Richie, 92, of Pensacola passed away November 1, 2016. She was born on January 11, 1924 to George and Minnie Putnam in Richton, MS.She was a homemaker for most of her life. In 1941 she and two of her close friends traveled from Mississippi to Washington, D.C., where they were worked in the fingerprinting division for the FBI, under J. Edgar Hoover. Mrs. Richie worked there until the end of WWII. At the time, she returned to Mississippi and married, Robert C. Richie. They lived in Demopolis, AL until they moved to Pensacola, FL in 1964.Mrs. Richie loved to cook and visit with family. She was a member of East Brent Baptist Church.She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Richie; her parents; brothers, Clovis, George, Billy and Newt Putnam; sister, Lola Putnam and grandson, Brandon C. Richie.Mrs. Richie leaves to cherish her memories her children, Wanda (Fred) Richie Stuck and Robert George (Judy) Richie; brother-in-law, Joe C. (Jean) Richie; grandchildren, Robert F. (Tammy) Stuck, Amanda (Daniel) Richie Bennett and Allen (Danielle) Salter; great-grandchildren, Shelby and Lauryn Stuck, Kyler and Kason Bennett, Kaden, Kendal and Kennedi Salter and a host of relatives and friendsVisitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until funeral service begins at 12:30 p.m., Friday, November 4, 2016 at Trahan Family Funeral Home - Pensacola, who is directing, with burial to follow at Pensacola Memorial Gardens.Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Herndon, Johnny Edwards, Fred Stuck, David Barry, Brian Woods, Bebo Davis, E. B.
