Ruth Taylor BowlinWaukeeRuth Elaine Taylor Bowlin, 96, passed away at Manor Care in West Des Moines on November 19, 2016. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, November 25, 2016 at the New Virginia Cemetery in New Virginia, Iowa. Family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Friday at Westover Funeral Home. Ruth was born on December 14, 1919 to Harold and Lulu (Wickett) Taylor in New Virginia. She was a supervisor/correspondent for the Internal Revenue Service for over 30 years retiring in 1977. Ruth married Charlie Bowlin in Nashua, Iowa on March 13, 1987. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Barbara Huss of Waukee; sons, Donald Bowlin of Des Moines and Dennis Bowlin of Carlisle; nine grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; and sister, Belva McCann of Rockwall, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie; parents; sisters, Velma McCarty and Shirley Clegg and her son, Darell Bowlin. Memorial contributions may be made to the or the .
