Ruth UnderhillJACKSON: Formerly of Gibsonburg, Ohio, passed away July 17, 2017 age 95. Ruth was born on September 5, 1921 in Gibsonburg, Ohio to Clark and Ida (Fredericksen) Garn. She graduated from Gibsonburg High School in 1939. On June 20, 1942 she married John Howard Underhill in Gibsonburg, Ohio and they had 2 sons, James and John. She is survived by James Underhill of Jackson, Michigan, also survived by Alice (Vincent) Gangle of Fremont, Ohio and Ruth (Edward) Davis of Findlay, Ohio, grandchildren, Timothy Underhill of Jackson, Michigan and Lisa (Kenneth) Grant of Grass Lake, Michigan, great grandchildren Joshua, Jeremy and Austin Grant. Preceded in death by her husband, John Howard and son John. Ruth raised her family and lived on the family farm in Gibsonburg for 75 years and then moved to Jackson in June of 2017. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Home and family were the most important concerns of her life and her loved ones enjoyed the blessings of her dedication and love. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered. Funeral services will be held at the Chas. J. Burden & Son Funeral Home, Jackson, Michigan on Thursday July 20, 2017 at 1:00 P.M.
