Ruth VincentApril 6, 1922 - November 4, 2015Ruth Vincent passed away surrounded by her loving family on November 4, 2015 at the age of 93 in Nampa, ID. Ruth was born on April 6, 1922 on a farm in Cavalier, ND to George Almon and Ada Frances Rickbeil. Ruth grew up on the family farm with her two brothers and graduated from High School in Cavalier in 1940. She attended Valley State Teaching College in Jamestown, ND. She first taught in Wolf Point, MT; then continued teaching in North Dakota, Pennsylvania, and Nevada. Ruth married Tracy Vincent on December 17, 1945 in Hollywood, CA. Daughters, Linda and Marsha were born in Susquehanna, PA. The Western Pacific Railroad brought the family to Winnemucca, NV in 1955. Ruth and Tracy were later divorced. She worked as a grocery store checker at Sewells/Mayfair Market in Winnemucca, NV and raised her girls. After Ruth retired, she enjoyed traveling with other seniors, gardening, pinochle at the Senior Center and time spent with many friends in Winnemucca. Ruth was a member of the First United Methodist Church.In 2007, Ruth moved to Nampa to be close to family. She lived at the Sunny Ridge Retirement Center and enjoyed the many friends she made there.Ruth was an avid sports fan. Enjoying the holidays, sending and receiving cards and letters was always the highlight of her days! She always looked forward to summer, family get-togethers, and especially seeing the youngest members of the family.Ruth is survived by daughters, Linda (Gary) Bonner and Marsha (Tim) Coyle. Grandchildren, Kristy (Jim) Sims and Scott (Katie) Coyle; step-grandchildren, Scott (Joan) Bonner and David Bonner;. Great-grandchildren, Alexa, Drew, and Austin Sims and Luke and Amelia Coyle, and step great-grandchildren, Tori and Danielle Sims and Emily, Megan, Matthew and Rachel Bonner. Step great great-granddaughter, Adrianne. Sister-in-law, Bette Rickbeil; a niece, and numerous great nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Winnifred; brothers, Mervyn and Robert Rickbeil; and infant grandson, Eric Coyle. The family wishes to thank Harrison's Hope Hospice and the dedicated staff members that cared for Ruth at Sunny Ridge. Ruth had many friends and family throughout her life that stayed in contact with her over the years and Ruth would want to thank them for the good memories and their love.A memorial will be held at Sunny Ridge Retirement Center, 2609 Sunny Brook Dr., Nampa, at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 14, 2015. www.cremationsociety-idaho.com
