Ruth WolcottMANSFIELD: Ruth Wolcott, 82, of Mansfield, Ohio passed away on Monday, December 5, 2016 at her home in Mansfield. She was born on June 7, 1934 to Michael and Anna (Berta) Simovic in Akron, Ohio.Ruth grew up in Akron then moved to Tallmadge at age 14, where she met her future husband, Arthur Wolcott. She was a trained nurse, which was very helpful raising six children on a dairy farm. Ruth was lovingly called "techie grandma" because of her willingness to learn and explore the challenge of new technology. She had a strong faith that Jesus was with her every step of the way, even in the darkest situations. Ruth's sense of humor will never be forgotten and will be missed dearly.She is survived by her children, Eric (Claudia) Wolcott, Keith (Ellen) Wolcott, Jill Mueller, Sarah (Tim) Galat, and Julie (Steve) Andrews; fourteen grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.In addition to Ruth's parents, she is preceded in death by, her husband of 50 years, Arthur Wolcott; son Michael Wolcott; and sister, Helen Weisel.Friends may call on Friday, December 9, 2016 at the Ontario Home Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., from 4:00-5:00 p.m. A memorial service will follow at the funeral home at 5:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Kim Maurer.
