Ryan Kilpatrick1969 - 2017Herbert "Ryan" Kilpatrick, 48 of Chumuckla, Florida passed away peacefully in Houston, TX on Thursday, March 9th, 2017 surrounded by family. He was born on January 28th, 1969 to Rodney (deceased) and Ruth Kilpatrick in Milton, FL.Ryan grew up in Chumuckla and graduated from Central High School in 1987 and attended Pensacola Junior College. Hunting with Jack, his partner-in-crime, and fishing were pastimes he loved along with golfing and watching sports, especially Auburn Football- War Eagle. He loved NASCAR - Tony Stewart although he lost bets with Pops most every Sunday!Ryan leaves to mourn his death his loving wife, Jennifer and children, Kamille Lyssa (fiance' Jacques Deysel) and Matthew Robertson of Austin, Texas. To Ryan, the sun rose and set on Jennifer's beautiful face. She started each day with a "Hello Beautiful" text from Ryan. She was his world as he was quick to say to anyone who would stop and listen. He was also very proud of his two children - he just beamed when he talked about them and their accomplishments in life. The three of them made him whole and he was happier than he had ever been.Ryan was also preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, Willie and Myrtle Mae Kilpatrick of Chumuckla and Homer and Irene Owens of Jay, Florida. Other survivors include his mother, Ruth Kilpatrick (Bud 'Pops' Rogers) of Chumuckla who was so very precious to him, sisters Rhonda (Ricky) O'Kelley of Allentown, Florida, and Renee (Edward) Tribble of Chumuckla, nieces Emily Gauthier, Chumuckla and Jenna (Lance) Cook, Allentown and nephew Austin Tribble of Chumuckla. He also leaves behind Jennifer's parents, Jack and Sharon Matthews of Punta Chivato Baja Sur and Jennifer's brother, Jeff (Jeannie) Matthews of South Lake Tahoe, California along with two great-nieces, a great-nephew and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.Ryan never met a stranger and walked through this world practicing good deeds. Even in his death, he was thinking of others. Ryan had made the decision to be an organ donor last summer when he moved back to Florida. In his death, he has saved many, many lives. He made friends easily and kept them for a lifetime. He has worked farming and logging, as a funeral home assistant, welder, climbing cell towers and more recently as a Quality Control Inspector in the fuel and energy industry. These positions enabled him to travel and experience many different parts of the United States and meet people from all walks of life. He loved traveling but hated being away from his wife and his hometown. Those two loves welcomed him back time and time again with open arms. The family is honored to have the following men serving as pallbearers for Ryan: John Salter, Todd Watson, Dale Simmons, James McCall, Eric Lambeth and Jimmy Williamson. All the men and women he had the pleasure to work with in the fuel and energy industry serves as his honorary pallbearers and are too numerous to mention by name.
