Ryne Schumacher, 33, of Boynton Beach, Florida, left to be with the angels on March 31, 2023 in Pembroke Pines, Florida. Ryne was born on January 22, 1990 in Elkins, West Virginia, which had his heart. He had a heart of gold and full of love. He was a lover of everything guns and weapons related, a true defender of the second amendment, a fierce protector of, and fighter for everyone that he loved. If you were a friend to him, he would go to the ends of the earth for you and you would never need to battle anything or anyone alone. He always yearned to learn new things and perfect them. He was a hard worker and dedicated and quick learner. He loved working with seniors (well, people in general) because he wanted to be the person to make a difference in their life and allow them to enjoy their retirement years. He was full of “dad jokes” and always knew how to make you smile and when you needed it. He was a soul too good for this earth to keep him any longer and he had fulfilled his purpose in this life by all the help and love he gave to everyone he came across, especially the love of his life.
He is survived by his parents, Steve and Amy Busch Schumacher of Elkins, WV; his sister and brother in law, Elly and Danny Manuel of Pine Brook, NJ; his brother, Read Schumacher; his fiancé, Devon O’Connell; his maternal grandmother, Molly Busch; his paternal grandparents, Greg and Nancy Schumacher; uncles Bart (Amy) Schumacher of Parkersburg, WV, and their children, Brad (Christy) Schumacher. He was preceded in death by his beloved “Grandy” John Busch, who he talked about with love endlessly, and his sister, Christine. He is also survived by his cats Zander and Buddy who he called his sons.
Ryne graduated from Elkins High School, class of 2008. He moved to Florida in 2017, working in the treatment industry for Banyan and Agape, helping other people struggling with addiction along their journey to becoming sober before getting his insurance license and working with seniors on their health insurance, which he excelled at, in the last few years of his life. Ryne will be forever remembered for his heart of gold and loving spirit.
A memorial will be held for his family in West Virginia Saturday at the Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church in Elkins, WV as well as for his friends in Florida on Saturday at New Horizon United Methodist Church in Southwest Ranches, FL.
