Leider, S. ArthurS. Arthur Leider 84, of Marinette passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017, at Rennes East, with his son by his side. He was born on May 5, 1933, to the late Arthur and Loretta (Schultz) Leider in Birnamwood WI. After graduation, he went on to serve his country proudly during the Korean War from May 22, 1952 to May 9, 1956. On July 24, 1953, Arthur married, his true love, Shirley Nauta in the Town of Easton; she preceded him in death on June 24, 2000. Art provided for his family with a career he loved, driving truck. Being a Long Haul driver he was able to see the beautiful country he had protected and was able to share those adventures with his family when he returned home. He was a member of Porterfield Lutheran Church and the Elks Lodge# 1313. Art enjoyed fly fishing and duck hunting in his early years but then was blessed with a new passion for watching all of this grandchildren play sports, from the very little ones all the way through college, nothing made him prouder. Arthur is survived by his son, Dale (Vicky) Leider of Marinette; five grandchildren: Kevin (Stacey) Roehl, Todd (Sarah) Roehl, Deanna (Michael) Dlugiewicz, Nathan Leider, Maecy Leider; 6 great grandchildren Kennedy, Jenna, Reese, Briley, Madden Roehl, Brayden & Arabella Dlugiewicz. In addition to his parents and wife, Shirley, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth R. Leider, a son, Dean and two daughters, Sandra and Peggy Lynn. Family would like to thank the VA- Arms of Angles, the case managers from Bay Area Medical Center, and our many friends and neighbors for their support. Visitation will be held Friday September 22nd at Thielen Funeral Home in Marinette from 3-5pm. Additional time of visitation will be held on Saturday, September 23rd from 10-11am at Porterfield Lutheran Church. Funeral Services will be held at 11am with Pastor Christina Forsythe officiating. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery in Birnamwood, WI with Military Honors provided by the Darling-Gunderson American Legion Post #341.
