Sadie "Frances" PersingerMuncie - Sadie "Frances" Persinger passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at The Waters of Muncie following an extended illness.Frances was born on April 27, 1936, in Logan County, WV. She was the middle child of Jennis and Beatrice (Brumfield) Fraley. She grew up in West Virginia and graduated from Van High, where she met the love of her life, Curtis Persinger. She spent the next few years waiting and exchanging love letters while Curtis was traveling the world in the Army. After marrying, Frances and Curtis eventually settled in Muncie, IN, where they raised their 3 children.Frances was met with open arms by those who preceded her, parents; Jennis and Beatrice Fraley; sister, Gloria (Fraley) Ferrell; brother, Jennis Fraley JR; and daughter, Anna (Persinger) Licht.She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Curtis Persinger; daughter, Vicky (Wayne) Bandy; son, Richard (Suzi) Persinger; 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; plus numerous nieces and nephews.Frances lived and loved fiercely, never afraid to share her opinions. Her fierce love and loyalty to her family was only outmatched by her love for her Lord and Savior.She loved cooking and was always a gracious hostess. If you were a friend of the family, she considered you family. There was always a seat at her table and plenty of food for anyone who came through the door.Frances was an avid reader! Through the years she went on many adventures with Grace Livingston Hill, Janette Oke, Karen Kingsbury and countless others.She also always loved and found joy in music. Although she would be the first to tell you she "couldn't carry a tune in a bucket", she could sit for hours listening to her family play and sing.Frances was a larger than life character who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel with Pastor Dylan Persinger officiating.
