Sally Malone, of Kankakee, Illinois, passed away on December 20, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on May 6, 1943, to Earl and Rosie Ward, Sally lived a vibrant and fulfilling life.

After graduating from Eastside High School in 1960, Sally continued her education at Kankakee Community College, eventually graduating in 1995. She went on to work at Shapiro Developmental Services, where she dedicated many years of her life before retiring in 2002.

Sally partner, William Malone, brought immense joy and love into her life. Spending 60wonderful years together. They were blessed with four wonderful grandchildren of their own. Steve Malone, Evelyn Prude(Tyler Prude), Tanya Gordon(Cary Akins), Vernon Malone. As well as being blessed with a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In her free time, Sally enjoyed attending church, reading, and styling hair for friends and family. she loved to volunteer at the shelter and Salvation Army around holidays rather it’s to help serve food on Thanksgiving or help pass out gifts on Christmas. Her infectious laughter and kind spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Though Sally’s earthly journey has come to an end, she is proceeded in death by her mother and father Rosie and Earl, and two brothers James Malone and William Malone Jr, and her son Vernon Malone. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. May she rest in peace.

Sally Malone wake will be held at LAX Mortuary on Jan 2,2026 from 4p-8p and funeral service will be held at Morning Star Baptist Church on Jan 3, 2026. Funeral services will begin at 10a-12p, and will be officiated by Pastor Grace Gordon-Smith. Followed by burial at Mound Grove Cemetery
