Salomea A. Sally Lippert1927 - 2014Salomea A. Sally Lippert passed away on March 4, 2014, in Cincinnati, Ohio, at the age of 86. Sally was born on March 27, 1927, in Kenosha, Wis., a daughter of the late Anton and Katherine (Kaupas) Zalieski. She was united in marriage to Dr. Donald F. Lippert on Sept. 4, 1948, at St. Peter Catholic Church, and together they raised three children. Sally, a former parishioner of both St. Peters and St. Marks Church in Kenosha, was a devoted wife and mother, who loved family, her Catholic faith, science and science fiction, cooking, entertaining, needlework, and craftwork. Her love for science led her to attend nursing school at age 44 and become a Registered Nurse. She went on to become Director of Nurses at St. Josephs Home and Rehabilitation Center in Kenosha. Upon Dons retirement from his dental practice, the two of them moved to Harlingen, Tex., in 1982 to enjoy sunshine and golf, where Sally remained until recently moving to Cincinnati to be near family.Sally is survived by son, Donald Lippert MD of Branson, Mo.; and daughters, Dolores Fryd of St. Paul, Minn., and Louise LeCompte of Cincinnati, Ohio, and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Donald F. Lippert; a daughter, Barbara Lippert; a sister, Mary Jaras; and a brother, Alex Kraujalis.Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 10, 2014. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 7117 14th Avenue. Interment will follow in St. George Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 10, 2014, from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass at St. Marks Church.
