Sam Brown Jr Obituary

Oct 23, 1960 - Sep 24, 2024

This obituary is administered by:

Sam Brown, JR was born October 23, 1960 to Sam and Thelma Brown, who preceded him

in death. He received his primary education in the Decatur County school system before

moving to Panama City, Florida where he was proud to be a Bay High Tornado. After

returning to Georgia, Sam began his career at Flint River Mills here in Bainbridge. He

dedicated forty- two years of his life to this company, but he didn’t just work there. Sam

was a favorite bingo caller for many patrons at T & L Bingo. His greatest joy came from

his employment at Home Place Farms. If you were a grandchild of Sam Brown’s, you went

to the stables. All of his grands would dote on Image, the horse with the beautiful black

coat. From this job he got to know someone with his name. Isn’t it ironic, a horse named

Sam Brown.

Sam leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted wife Pamela Brown, a loving sister

-in-law Paula Robinson, surrogate fathers Roosevelt Watson and Theodis Brown; a niece

and 24/7 on call nurse, Rayetta Robinson.

Those he cherished more than life itself were his children; Terrell Brown (Jasmine);

Christopher Austin; Keachi Brown; Christina Jackson (Devaan); Nicole Williams

(Andreikos) and Shavon Brown (Maya). Two children preceded him in death: Ryoshawn

Brown and Jessica Austin.

Also left to cherish Sam’s memory are his sisters Ernestine Ford and Daquitta Whitted

(Lee); brothers Kenny Brown(Andrea) and Eugene Brown. He had a host of nieces and

nephews, twenty-one grandchildren and four great-grandchildren that will miss Pop Pop

or Grandpa Sam. One nephew and niece that never let a week go by without checking on

Uncle Sam was Benny and Lisa Butler. Benny, I know you’ll miss your uncle because you

won’t have anyone to call nephew.

Tamara and Sean Hader, thank you for not only being Sam’s employer but more

importantly, thank you for being his friends and family. Sean thank you for the meals you

prepared with the texture so Sam could enjoy them. Thank you Lewis Thomas, his

private chef, that he could call on any time of day or night to fix his favorite grouper

sandwich. Sam will also be missed by his brother from another mother, Sankit Patel.

Thank you for all your calls and visits. Last but not least, thank you to his caregiver Gail

Austin and his weekend, school break and holida

y nurse, Rylan Elijah Rainey.
