Samuel "Sam" Park IV, 58, of Kingwood, TX died at 7:45 AM on Thursday, December 5, 2013. He will be sorely missed by his family and all who knew him.

Mr. Park was born on November 5, 1955 in Baton Rouge, LA. He was a graduate of Westchester High School in Houston, TX and attended college in San Antonio. Mr. Park attended Second Baptist Church in Kingwood, TX.

He had a gentle and forgiving nature and was especially kind and easy going. Mr. Park was a creative person who enjoyed painting, leather work, photography, and playing the guitar. He also had a passion for the outdoors, deer hunting and tinkering with things.

Those left to cherish his memory are his father, Sam Park III; a brother, Jim Park and wife Chris; a sister, Anne Marshall and husband Larry, all of Kingwood, TX; and two nieces and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Imogene Gauthier Park and grandparents, Gladwin James "Gus" and Eunice Gauthier; Sam and Rhoene Park.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Consolata Cemetery in Lake Charles, La. under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM.
