Sammie Lee Croff, lovingly known as Sammie, passed away on June 11, 2024, at the age of 88. He was born on December 26, 1935, in Hickory, MS, and later resided in Gulfport, MS.
Sammie dedicated his career as a carpenter, leaving behind a legacy of craftsmanship and skill. He took great pride in his work and always strived to do his best. His favorite quote, "Knuckle head," was a playful expression of his lighthearted nature.
However, Sammie's proudest accomplishment was being a grandfather. He cherished his role and found great joy in spending time with his grandchildren, especially his granddaughter Dyesha Johnson.
Sammie was also a committed husband, married to Mary Linda. Their bond was strong, and they shared many cherished memories together.
In addition to his immediate family, Sammie had four children: Patricia Croff, Glynis Croff, Donna Croff, and Robert Croff, all of Hickory, MS. His loving and hardworking nature made a lasting impact on their lives.
Outside of his family, Sammie found fulfillment in helping his church and being involved in the community. He was known for his willingness to lend a hand and his dedication to making a positive impact.
Sammie Lee Croff will be remembered for his love, hard work, and dedication to his family and community. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
