Samuel Shiuaul Jr. was born in Lula, Mississippi and was the eldest child of Samuel and Roxie Shinaul. Samuel leaves behind children Harry Shinaul (Carmilita), Brenda Shinaul, Danielle Shinaul, Christine Clark, and other children. Grandchildren Antonio Shinaul, Berry Shinaul(Antoinette), David Shinaul, Shantell Floyd, Delbert Hardin, Areeon Reid, and Imani Redi, along with others, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren,4 brothers, and 3 sisters, a host of family memebers, as well as friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother Tommie Lee Shinaul  

Samuel was best known by his friends as "Big Sam" and "June Bug" by family. Samuel lived in Chicago for several years before eventually making Minneapolis his home in the 60's. Samuel was a hard worker from a youth and worked various jobs. His love for travel brought him closer to family and friends. Samuel enjoyed every moment of life: from sharing advice, to giving a helping hand, and working. Big Sam left a lasting impression on everyone that crossed his path and will be dearly missed by many.
