Sandra Ann Johnson Phillips1950 -2017Sandra Johnson Phillips, 67, of Pensacola, died October 24, 2017, surrounded by family. Sandra was born on February 13, 1950, in Quincy, Florida, to Edsel F. Johnson and Juanita Schofield Johnson. The family moved to Pensacola when Sandra was an infant and were lifelong residents. Sandra attended A.K. Suter Elementary School, Clubbs Junior High and Graduated from Pensacola High School, Class of 1968. Sandra was employed by the Escambia County School Board for over 20 years and enjoyed her work as a Microfiche Technician and loved her work environment as well as her co-workers. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edsel and Juanita Johnson. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Charles (Charley) E. Phillips; daughters, Karen Enfinger Gibbs (Eddie) and Candace Enfinger Blackmon (Johnnie); sons, Rick Phillips of New Orleans, LA and Gary Phillips (Sharon) of St. Louis, MO; siblings, Michael F. Johnson, Carol Johnson Eggart (David) and Mark A. Johnson; grandchildren, Joshua Ray Blackmon; Kristen Caroline Gibbs; Chad Phillips; and, Ryan Phillips. Nephews Samuel J. Eggart and Daniel K. Eggart; niece, Kendall Caroline Eggart and many more nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel on Monday, October 30, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with a service following at 12:00 Noon. Private Entombment will follow at Bayview Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be: Johnnie Blackmon, Eddie Gibbs, Donny Brusso, Sam Eggart, Daniel Eggart, and Joshua Blackmon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to: Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Florida.The Family would like to thank: Heather Martin of Regency Hospice and Sara Peek of Muriel Finger Sitters.
