SandraLee Mayer (Kline), 75, of Bellevue, NE, was called home to be with our Father in Heaven, peacefully, with family around her on Sunday Nov. 20, 2016. Formerly of Lancaster and Berks counties, born on
April 10th 1941 to the late Kenneth and Caroline Kline (Cunnius).
Sandy was preceded in death by her husband, Allyn
Mayer, with whom she shared 33 years of marriage; her son, Charles Hassler; daughter, Kathleen Roth (Hassler), and grandson, Derrick Lehman.
Sandy is survived by a brother, Phillip Kline, husband of MaryLouise (Phillips), and a sister, Pamela Rothenberger (Kline), wife of the late Kent Rothenberger; two daughters, Lucinda Saunders (Hassler) and Christina Hassler, wife
of Ben Andrews, both of Lancaster, PA; two sons, Bret Stewart, husband of May (Del Rosario), of Bellevue, NE, and Dana Stewart, husband of Amber (Elrod), of Gosnell, AR; one stepdaughter, Cynthia Mayer of Abottstown, PA;
13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Sandy attended Mt. Penn High School and earned an
Architectural Drafting degree at IMI in Reading, PA, then went on to be the first female Architectural Draftsperson for the City of Lancaster. In her later years, Sandy was the "Coffee Lady" at the East Petersburg Wawa where many enjoyed her smile, as well as her coffee. Sandy's hobbies were watching Jeopardy! and animal/nature shows,
crossword puzzles, playing board games, pinochle,
bingo and lottery scratch-offs. Sandy also enjoyed family gatherings and her pets.
A service will be held at Zion Spies Lutheran Church,
310 Spies Church Rd, Reading, PA 19606, on Saturday,
December 10th, 2016, starting promptly at 3:30 PM.
