BARRINGTON - Sara Lynne Mattick was born on April 9, 1941 in Chicago to Richard and Gertrude (nee Yeager) Ericson. She died Sunday, October 16, 2016 in Bethesda, Maryland. Mrs. Mattick attended Lake Forest College, graduating with a BA in Biology. She worked as a medical technician and teacher and was later the owner of Mattick's Antiques. She was an avid gardener, artist, and a collector of primitive and fine antiques. Sara was a member of the Fox Point Garden Club, Collector's Antique Club of Barrington, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a long-standing member of the First Methodist Church of Park Ridge and the Presbyterian Church of Barrington. She is survived by her husband, Richard W. Mattick; her children, Richard K. "Rick" (Donna) Mattick and Lynne (Ed) Payne; and her six grandchildren, Clara and Anna Mattick and Lindsey, Lyle, Logan and Lilly Payne. Sara was preceded in death by her mother and father. Visitation Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 9:30 am until time of Funeral Service, 11:00 am, at Presbyterian Church of Barrington, 6 Brinker Road, Barrington Hills. Interment is at Ridgewood Cemetery in Des Plaines, immediately following the church service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to The Cancer Research Institute at
