She was a pillar of strength and an unwavering source of support for her loved ones. Sarah's infectious smile and warm presence lit up every room she entered, leaving a lasting impression on all those fortunate enough to have known her. Above all else, Sarah cherished her family. She was a devoted wife to her loving husband of 25 years, Ernest Thompson. Their enduring love and deep bond were an inspiration to all who witnessed it. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. Sarah will be remembered as a doting and nurturing mother to her two children, Mattey T. Lewis and Benjamin Thompson. She played an integral role in shaping their lives, instilling in them values of kindness, resilience, and empathy. Sarah's unwavering support and unconditional love encouraged her children to pursue their dreams and become the best versions of themselves. As a grandmother, Sarah embraced her role with joy and enthusiasm. She cherished the precious time spent with her six grandchildren, Lily, Noah, Ava, Kevon, Zion and Mi’Layiah Whether it was baking cookies, reading bedtime stories, or simply sharing laughter, Sarah's grandkids were the light of her life, bringing immeasurable happiness to her heart. Throughout her life, Sarah had a deep appreciation for nature and loved spending time outdoors. She possessed a vibrant spirit of adventure and was always ready for a new travel experience. Sarah's favorite destinations included the lush landscapes of the Appalachian Mountains, the serene beaches of the Gulf Coast, and the enchanting streets of historic towns. Aside from her love for travel, Sarah had a passion for gardening and spent countless hours tending to her blooming flower beds and nurturing her vibrant plants. She found solace and tranquility in nature, and her garden served as a reflection of her nurturing spirit. Sarah's warmheartedness extended beyond her family; she was an active member of the community, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
