NINNEMANSarah J. Sarah J. “Sally “ Ninneman died Saturday, October 8, 2016 at UTMC at the age of 85.She was born on November 5, 1930 to Esther and Irving Heck in Monroe, Michigan. She was a graduate of Monroe High School and the Toledo Hospital School of Nursing. Sally worked for many years as an operating room nurse at The Toledo Hospital, and was active in the School of Nursing Alumni Association. On August 16, 1952, she married Lawrence “Larry” Ninneman at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Courthouse Square. She was an active member of St. Paul's, participating over the years in the women's auxiliary and as a volunteer in the church office.Both Sally and Larry treasured their relationships with a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and cousins and enjoyed spending time with them. Sally also delighted in maintaining lifelong friendships with classmates from Monroe High School and The Toledo Hospital School of Nursing, as well as former colleagues from The Toledo Hospital. Preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Lawrence Ninneman, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David (Karen) of Cincinnati, OH; and daughter, Louise (Ben Holland) of Denver, CO. Also surviving are granddaughters, Katie (Eric) Ostoich and Christine.A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 428 N.
