Andrew, Scott 54, of Chandler, passed away on July 19 while in New York City. An Arizona native, Scott was born on September 30, 1962, and spent his childhood in Tempe, graduating from McClintock High School in 1980. He graduated from Mesa Community College, where he appeared in several drama department performances. Scott also performed in many local theater productions, and was one of the first actors involved with Childsplay in Tempe. He pursued his love of acting and moved to New York City, living there several years while continuing to take classes and perform. To be closer to family, Scott came back to Arizona in the late 1990's. He worked as the Operations Manager of Arizona Catering since his return. He also worked for the International Models and Talent Agency (IMTA). Scott's father, Lee, and his brothers, Steven and John, preceded him in death. He is survived by his mother, Donna; brother, Stan (Leslee); sister, Cheryl (Sam) Womer; nine nieces and nephews, and twelve great nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 5, at Green Acres Mortuary in Scottsdale. Following the memorial service, there will be a celebration of life reception at the Scottsdale Center for the Arts starting at 2:30 p.m., where friends will have the opportunity to share memories and stories about Scott. In honor of Scott's love for theater and bringing arts to the next generation, donations to Childsplay Theatre Company's Education Fund are requested in lieu of flowers.
