SCOTT ALLEN BARDELL, 55 FREEPORT - Scott Allen Bardell, 55, of Freeport, died Wednesday, May 28, 2014, in his home. Scott was born on December 14, 1958, in Freeport, the son of Wilbur and Patsy (Lamm) Bardell. Scott married Valerie Stinson on October 25, 1980, in Monroe, Wisconsin. He was employed as a sales manager at Freeport Recycling. Scott enjoyed grilling at home and following the Green Bay Packers and Chicago White Sox. Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Valerie Bardell; one son, Troy Bardell of Freeport; three daughters, Tiffany (Jay) Marten, Tierra (Tony) Anderson and Tannah Bardell, all of Freeport; seven grandchildren, Jordan Keyes, Max and Ellie Marten, Mya and Jayda Bardell, and Alycia and Kahliya Anderson. Also surviving is stepfather, Larry Maggard; and mother-in-law, Cleone McGinness. Scott was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, J.B. McGinness. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 2, at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home in Freeport. Pastor Jeff White will officiate. Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
