Onto the Next Journey

~In Loving Memory of Scott Bradley Chadek~

Leaving behind a trail of cherished memories, Scott Chadek passed away at a young age of 55 after a difficult battle with cancer on July 11, 2023, in Yakima, Washington. Scott was born on February 4th, 1968, and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He then moved to St. Joseph, Michigan to solely raise his three children Justin Chadek, Chad Chadek, and Alicia Palmatier (Chadek), before moving to Washington in 2015. Scott then met his wife Michelle and gained two children, Tony and Lauren through marriage. Scott also leaves behind his father Victor and loving stepmother Connie Alexander, his brother Burnell Chadek, and 6 grandchildren: Kaiden Chadek, Karson Chadek, Zoey Chadek, Aria Palmatier, Elliana Iseri, and Lydia Chadek. He is now resting in peace with his mother, Joan.

Scott had a knack for finding humor and positivity in the simplest of things. His friends and family often found themselves laughing at his quick wit and impeccable timing. His ability to lighten any situation left a lasting impact on all who knew him. Whether it was a funny joke, witty remarks, or an unforgettable song quote, Scott's presence brightened up even the gloomiest of days.

Scott lived life to the fullest. He was an avid lover of nature and hiking. He also loved golf, waterskiing, motorcycles, the Lake Michigan beaches, exploring the mountains, Cheap Trick concerts with his loved ones, and being involved with family and friends. You would often find him exploring breathtaking landscapes on adventures in which he found himself, keeping a wide smile on his face, and a camera in hand ready to capture the moment. Many treasured memories were captured through his music taste, pictures, and stories, which truly revealed his passion for the beauty of the world around us.

Scott had a heart of gold and would do anything to help those in need. His selflessness touched the lives of many, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand. Whether it was fixing a mechanical issue, offering his wisdom, or being a listening ear, Scott's generosity knew no bounds. His infectious optimism and unwavering determination were the guiding light for countless individuals, pushing them beyond their limits and towards greatness. He led others humbly with quiet confidence and never gave up on whatever adversity he faced. Scott lived by the term "sisu," which had a great impact on those close to him.

On July 11th, 2023, the world lost an extraordinary soul and although his body may no longer dwell among us, his immeasurable impact and spirit will live on in the hearts of his cherished family, friends, and community.

Scott said, "Grieve me only for a little while. Then grab life, go on adventures, and run hard while you still can. Take the memories of me with you." We will carry this quote with us everywhere.

He will forever be remembered as a true adventurer, a beacon of light, a man who fearlessly pursued his passions, uplifted others, and left an indelible mark on the world. While his absence will be deeply felt, may we find solace in the memories we shared and the profound impact he had on all our lives.

In celebration of Scott's life, a cheerful celebration of life will be held in St. Joseph Michigan at Tiscornia Beach. We invite all those whose lives were touched by Scott to come together, reminisce the joyful times, and honor his remarkable spirit.

Rest in peace, dear Scott. May your laughter forever echo in our hearts.
