Scott F. GlombowskiSt. HelenScott F. Glombowski, 56, of St. Helen died on January 2, 2017, after a long battle with cancer. He was a brave warrior right to the end. He was born on December 16, 1960 to Lawrence and Ethel (Busha) Glombowski. He married Linda D. Phillips on September 21, 2013.His childhood passion for playing baseball, often coached by his dad, continued through his adult life. He loved watching many kinds of sports, especially his beloved Miami Dolphins and Baltimore Orioles. In the past year a favorite pastime was watching the Detroit Pistons with his wife while patiently explaining the rules of the game to her. He was also an avid outdoorsman, loved the woods, and though he was ill he was excited to have recently accompanied his great nephew on his first hunting trip. Some of his other interests were military history and nature photography, with birds being a favorite subject.Scott was a proud American patriot and was honored to have served in the United States Army and the Michigan National Guard. He loved his family dearly; he had a special relationship with his nephew Nathan Smith who was like a son to him.Scott is survived by his wife Linda; mother Ethel; Sister Deborah Smith; daughter Tina Warner; grandchildren Levi, Carly, Allison, Sophie and Leah; nephews Nathan (Lisa) Smith, Aaron (Becky) Glombowski, Jeffery Glombowski, and niece Laura (Ryan) Bolinger; Stepchildren Erin Farnsworth and Sean Phillips; great nephews Jaydon, Brynden, David, Devin, and John; great nieces Jasmyn, Skylar, Mikayla, and Chloe; Sister in law Sally Glombowski; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Scott was preceded in death by his father Lawrence and his brother David.A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday January 14, 2017, with visitation from 9:00 a.m. To 11:00 a.m. at Smith Family Funeral Home - North, 1525 Hancock St, Port Huron, with Rev.
