Scott L. Wilbraham Scott L. Wilbraham, 73, passed away at home on February 1st, 2016. Scott was born on January 16, 1943 in Temple, Texas to William and Dorothy Wilbraham. He is survived by his wife Nancy and son, Cody. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Jeff and brothers Craig and Kent. Originally from Michigan, Scott moved to Hilton Head in 1971 and then to Bluffton in the early 80's. He loved living in the Lowcountry. He appreciated not only the climate and the beauty, but most of all the wonderful people he met and the friends he made during his life here. Scotty, as he was known to many of his friends, was an avid car enthusiast. He worked in the automotive repair business for many years and working on cars was one of his passions. Much of his free time was spent with family and friends working on and restoring cars. His 1st hobby car was a "Corvette yellow" 55 Chevy that was featured in several publications. He also restored from the ground up a '71 Nova of which he was extremely proud. He traveled extensively through the Southeast attending car shows with family and friends. Scott's favorite car show was Shades of the Past in Pigeon Forge, TN which he attended annually for over 25 years. Scott would want to be remembered for his loyalty as a friend, great listening skills, quick wit and his zest for life. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday February 6, 2016 from 4 to 7 at the Oscar Frazier Park Community Center in Bluffton. Donations in Scott's honor may be made to a GoFundMe account set up by the family or to Memory Matters, P.O. Box 22330, Hilton Head, SC 29925-2330.
