Scott Porter, 63, of Westfield, New Jersey, passed on October 12, 2021 in his home.
His parents, Herbert and Virginia Joyce Porter, raised him and his two siblings,
Buzz Porter and Jill Milne, in Westfield and he loved calling this town his
home. He left Westfield for college where he excelled at the Rochester
Institute of Technology and made many lifelong friends.
After college he returned home where he ran Howard Press side by side with his father
and other members of his family. He was devoted to his family, his career, and
his father’s legacy at Howard Press in Roselle, New Jersey.
He was a fan of the Mets, Giants and country music and loved to share those passions
with his children. He had a wicked sense of humor and was always making the
people around him laugh, groan and every emotion in between.
His parents, Joyce and Herbert Porter Jr. and his brother, Buzz Porter of Sea Girt
predeceased him. He is survived by two daughters, Jessica Frost and Jacqueline
Porter, his son-in-law Chris Frost, two granddaughters Lily and Lyla Frost, his
sister, Jill Milne and her husband Scott Milne of Wall, and his nephews and
niece, Tyler, Connor and Mackenzie Savage, his stepmom Alina Porter of Wall,
his stepbrother Paul Jablonski of West Palm Beach, FL and stepsister Sylvia
Jablonski-Kampaktsis of New York City, and the mother of his children and best
friend, Josephine Porter of Scotch Plains.

Scott, too soon! RIP and God Bless.
Dear Jess, Jackie, Josie and Jill - I am so very very sorry for your loss. You all have my continuous thoughts and prayers. There are so many fond memories that you will carry in your hearts forever and he will always be with you. I know it's really hard right now and it will be for a long time - but remember that you all have each other to lean on, cry with and in time, to take your memories and smile / laugh with each other. Jess and Jackie, your Dad loved you so much and you will carry that love with you always. Thinking of Scott right now, I can see him sitting at the kitchen table looking through a newspaper and mumbling something of the wall that would make me laugh and he would just shake his head. How about your big golden retriever .... I can see your Dad rolling his eyes at something funny with that dog. Football - I will never forget going to a NY Giants / KC Chiefs game at the Meadowlands with Scott and I was wearing my Chiefs coat and so was one of his friends too, as he was a KC fan! What a football lover Scott was! Whenever you see a game on TV I bet you will stop and smile and think of him. God Bless you all - Scott, God Bless you and rest in peace
