Scotty Lee Roach, 36 of Huddleston, passed away Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born on Sunday, March 2, 1980 in Lynchburg, a son of Johnny Douglas Roach and Debbie Ann Ogden Roach of Huddleston who survive. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jamie Roach and his grandparents, Jr. Roach, Frances Roach and Edward Ogden. He was a logger with JTR Logging. In addition to his father and mother, he is survived by his brother, Doug Roach of Huddleston; sisters, Tonia Roach Perdue and Jay of Huddleston, Mandy Roach and James of Franklin Co, Cheyene Roach of Huddleston; his maternal grandmother, Julia Ogden of Concord; nephews, Wayne Perdue of Huddleston, Wiley Hambrick of Franklin Co., Johnathan Arthur of Huddleston and his niece, Macey Arthur of Huddleston along with special friends, Jacob Webster and Ryan Webster. The family requests that those wishing to make memorials consider the Huddleston Lifesaving Crew, P. O. Box 77, Huddleston, VA 24104. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2016 at Updike Funeral Chapel, Huddleston with Rev. Wayne Murphy officiating. Interment will follow in Roach Family Cemetery. A reception for family and friends will follow at the Huddleston Rec. Building. Arrangements by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Huddleston.
