Seamus Murphy O'Connor passed away on Friday, August 14, 2020, from injuries suffered in a whiskey fire. He was 46.
Seamus was born on May 5, 1974 in Ballyshannon, Ulster. He began work at age 8 at the town asbestos factory where he was employed for the next 20 years. At age 28 he took a 7 year sabbatical to pursue his love of traveling and throwing rocks at the birds by the town port, before later beginning a career as a used tire salesman.
In 1993 he married his longtime sweetheart, Mary Shannon O'Sullivan. The next day they welcomed their first child to the world, Seamus Murphy O'Connor, Jr. They would soon be joined by six more wonderful children. He was known to his friends and the town constable as a loving father and friend.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Shannon, and their seven children: Seamus Jr, Liam, James, Jack, Thomas, Michael, and Margaret. He follows his father and five uncles into God's embrace in the afterlife.
The wake will be held at O'Malley's Pub on Friday, August 21, at 2 pm. The family will be there to welcome friends and relatives and will be joined by Father Shane to speak of God's eternal wisdom.
