LAURINBURG — Shanna Victoria Chavis, 25, passed away to her Heavenly home on Aug. 16, 2015 after a long illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at Gray Pond Baptist Church with burial following in Stewartsville Cemetery.

Shanna was the loving daughter of Lisa Ann Chavis Scott, born on Nov. 6, 1989 in Scotland County.

She graduated with the class of 2008 from Scotland High School. She was a lifelong member of Gray Pond Baptist Church. Shanna enjoyed making crafts, listening to music and spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Anna Dial Chavis and Thurman Chavis and her uncles Gus "Papa" Johnson and Thurman "Pete" Chavis.

Shanna leaves to cherish her memory her mother Lisa Chavis Scott, her brother Bobby Ryan Scott and sister Courtney Paige Scott all of the home, her special aunts and uncles, and a host of cousins and special friends.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
