Kaster, Shannon King,Shannon King Kaster, 58, of Louisville, passed away unexpectedly in the early morning hours of Tuesday, November 29, 2016.She was born on October 29, 1958, in Pewee Valley, a daughter of Elizabeth Ann Tinnell and the late Eugene King. Shannon received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Louisville, her Masters in Education from Xavier University, and her Juris Doctorate from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law. She was also a published author. Shannon was a self-employed attorney in tax and estate planning. She was also a tutor and mentor for children with learning disabilities and behavioral issues.Shannon was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. Her hobbies included building dollhouses, creating works of art, collecting curiosities, and restoring antique furniture. As a voracious reader and knowledgeable historian, Shannon enjoyed researching and documenting her family's genealogy. She was also a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals. Indeed, she was a true renaissance woman.In addition to her father, Shannon is also preceded in death by her two sisters, Janet Williamson and Andrea Block.Shannon is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, W. Burleigh Kaster, Jr.; sons, Ian MacKenzie Kaster (Elizabeth) and Shane Roseborough Kaster; mother, Elizabeth A. Tinnell Doyle; sister, Dianne King; brother, Robbie King and a niece, Ariadjna King. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 3rd, 2016 at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road, "in St. Matthews."
