Shapur Khudamurad Irani89, of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2017. He was born on February 10, 1928 in Pune, India as the youngest of 5 children born to the late Khudamurad J. and Motibai S. Irani. Shapur traveled to the United States at the age of 26 and worked for a number of years at MacAllister Machinery Company before starting his own company, Irani Tea, in 1958. Shapur was active in the Scottish Rite, Shriners, and Englewood Masonic Lodge, receiving his 50 year pin last year. He was also a member of the Chicago and Cincinnati Dabre Mehr.Shapur is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Judith Ann (Hurt) Irani; daughter, Katrina (Christopher) Donahue; son, James Edward Nichols; grandchildren, Ian Donahue and Leah (Devin) Dummel; great-grandchildren, Declan and Dryden Dummel. Shapur is also survived by many special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 siblings; and his son, Keith Shapur Irani.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Flanner and Buchanan - Memorial Park from 4-7:30 p.m., with a Masonic service immediately following. Funeral services will take place on Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m., also at the funeral home, with additional visitation 1 hour prior.
