Honoring Shaquala Fredericks

Shaquala Fredericks, born on July 9th, 1978, in Brooklyn, NY, was called home to be with the Lord on November 12th, 2024. A devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend, Shaquala touched countless lives with her warmth, passion, and unwavering faith.

Shaquala was the cherished mother of two beautiful daughters, Shazzarda Davis and Shazana Davis, whom she loved deeply and cared for with her whole heart. She was the beloved daughter of Kevin Fredericks and Venda Fredericks and a loving sister to Seria, Basheam, Shereama, and Flu-Queen Fredericks. Shaquala is also survived by many cousins, including Tyisha Lowery, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who adored her.

From an early age, Shaquala showcased her creative talents and artistic spirit. She attended Performing Arts High School, where her love for dancing flourished, particularly in ballet. She further pursued her passion for dance at the prestigious Alvin Ailey School, where she refined her craft. As a lifelong learner, she also attended Delhi College and, later in life, Pursuit Academy, where she followed her passion for coding and studied Software Engineering.

A woman of deep faith and purpose, Shaquala was an active member of Epiphany Church, serving as a group leader and spreading her boundless love for Christ within her community. She inspired others through her work with the PTA at her daughters’ high school and her dedication to uplifting mothers and families. Despite facing health challenges, Shaquala’s vision for life remained steadfast, guided by her favorite quote: *“A Man Without Vision Shall Perish.”*

Shaquala’s warmth, generosity, and creativity were evident in every aspect of her life. Whether through her encouraging words or her ability to bring people together, she left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her passion for inspiring others and her unwavering belief in the power of love and community will forever remain her legacy.

Shaquala’s life was a testament to resilience, love, and faith. Though she will be dearly missed, her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the family she cherished. Her spirit will forever inspire those she leaves behind.

Rest in peace, Shaquala Fredericks. You will always be loved.

A viewing service to honor and celebrate Shaquala's life will be held on "November 17th, 2024, from 12 PM to 4 PM". In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated.
