Shari Sky "Brier" Roessner was born on February 7, 1979, in Portland Oregon. She passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on February 4, 2019.
Shari was a proud third generation Oregonian and lived in Oregon for her entire adult life (save for a brief stint in Virginia Beach, VA during college). She graduated from Central Catholic High School in Portland in 1997 and then attended Portland State University. An acolyte from age 4, Shari grew up at Saints Peter and Paul Episcopal Church in Portland where she was also baptized and confirmed. Shari worked at Starbucks for over 10 years and accumulated quite the stash of coffee mugs and aprons! One of Shari’s greatest achievements was becoming a foster parent and eventually adopting her son Aaron. Her career as a stay-at-home mom brought her much happiness and her love for him was endless.
Shari also loved the outdoors and Camp Arrowhead. A girl scout and camper since age 7, Shari eventually became a CIT and then held many roles on camp staff: counselor, program director, “arts and crafts lady”, and CIT director. Camp Arrowhead again became a focal issue in her life when the Girl Scouts threatened to sue the camp and she joined the Save Camp Arrowhead Committee. In part due to her advocacy, the camp was saved for further generations of girls to enjoy.
Shari is survived by her wife Kirsten and son Aaron, as well as siblings Emily, Alex, Amber, Joshua, Jacob, and Cody. She is also survived by parents Dianne and David Wasson and Garth and Jane Roessner, as well as her aunts Holly, Michaela, Marcia, Carol, and uncle Joel. She also leaves behind innumerable friends, colleagues, and sisters in Girl Scouting.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 17 at 3 pm at Christ Episcopal Church in Lake Oswego.

I am so very sorry to hear about your loss...at Revelation 21:4 it says "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more."
May the God of all comfort be with you.

Please accept my deepest and sympathy. May the God who binds up the broken-hearted comforts all who mourn, sustain your family during this challenging time.(Isaiah 61: 1,2.)

Shari has a secure future with us again. According to Gods word at John 5:28,29 Shari will be a part of all those in the memorial tombs and graves that will be resurrected. In the Lords Prayer we pray for Gods Kingdom to come and his will to be done. What a wonderful part of that Kingdom rule to bring our loved ones back to us on a paradise earth. Its Gods guarantee that Shari will be with us again!
