SIGFUSSON, Sharon Ann (nee Luft) Sharon Ann (Luft) Sigfusson, 57 of Martensville, SK, passed away peacefully after a lengthy battle with a rare cancer (LMS) with her family by her side in Saskatoon, SK on May 12, 2017. A celebration of her life will be held at Christ Church Anglican (515 – 28th St. West) in Saskatoon at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2017 with Rev. Jessica Latshaw officiating. A gathering of friends and family follows in Martensville at Cherished Memories Funeral Home from 4 to 6. Sharon was born on July 2, 1959 in Medicine Hat, AB and grew up in Nipawin, SK. In August 1981, she married her soulmate, Larry Sigfusson in Nipawin. They lived in Tisdale and then moved to Saskatoon and finally Martensville in 1993, where they raised their family. Sharon worked at MDS Laboratories then Royal University Hospital as a Tech 2 Medical Laboratory Technologist until being diagnosed with her cancer in December 2013. Her greatest pleasure in life was spending time with her family and friends, especially her two sons. Sharon was also an avid gardener and enjoyed travels with Larry and their close friends. She had a wonderful caring personality and a great sense of humour. She is survived by her husband Larry, her sons Kyle and Scott, her sister Karen and partner Jan, and 3 dogs Storm, Aurora and Nikita. Her beautiful smile and personality will be missed by her relatives and many friends. A special thank you goes to the staff at the Saskatoon Cancer Center, the 6100 ward at RUH and the Palliative Care unit at St. Pauls.
