Sharon Dowell, 70, rural Monticello (Carroll County), passed away at 2:40 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on Jan. 12, 1946, in Pacific, Mo., to the late Peter and Helen (Runge) Daughtery. Sharon had lived in the rural Monticello (Carroll County), area most all her life. She had worked as a sales clerk – cashier at the Smoker's Place in Monticello for 10 years, retiring in 2013.Surviving are sons, Larry (Christina) Dowell, rural Monticello (Carroll County) and Mathew Dowell, Monticello; grandchildren, Tasha Dowell, Brownsburg, Austin and Trevor Abbott, both of Delphi; and great-grandson, Landen Dowell, Brownsburg. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Helen (Runge) Daughtery; and sisters, Virginia Dryer, Norma Jean Barclay and Charlotte Schafer. No visitation or services are scheduled for the public; everything is private for the family at the Miller-Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello.Memorials may be given to the family.
