MARCIK, SHARON Sharon Marcik, a long time resident of Guilford, CT, passed away October 29 at the age of 54, in her home surrounded by her loving family. Sharon was born on February 2, 1962 to Thomas and Carol Woolley. Sharon wed Lawrence Marcik, Jr. on April 30, 1988 at Our Lady of Pompeii in East Haven. She leaves behind her loving husband, Lawrence Marcik, Jr., and her two children, Colleen and Wes. Sharon served over 18 years with the dining services at the Baldwin and Adams Middle Schools and was known for her caring demeanor and her contagious smile. She was defined by her work ethic; she never left a job unfinished or a table dirty. Sharon enjoyed watching her daughter play goalie for the Salve Regina Women’s Hockey team and drinking white wine with her friends. Her favorite movie was Pretty Woman, and she loved reading novels by Stephen King. Sharon will now always have “Sunshine on [her] Shoulders.” Her wake is scheduled for Thursday, November 3rd from 5 to 8 PM at the Guilford Funeral Home. Church Services will be held at Our Lady of Pompeii in East Haven on Friday, November 4th at 11AM. Burial will follow in Alder Brook Cemetery, in Guilford, CT.
